Devon's Take

The F1 in 1993 was a weapon built by engineers who'd just won Formula 1 and knew no other way to think. 627 hp, three seats, no power steering, a gold-lined engine bay because Gordon Murray didn't cut corners on heat management or drama. It rewrote what a road car could be and held the production car speed record for twelve years. The W1 is McLaren saying we know exactly what we built then — now watch us do it with 1,275 hp and active aero that didn't exist in Gordon's era. The F1 is untouchable. The W1 is the love letter written thirty years late.
